GoBuB is a boutique family playspace and event venue in Robertson Quay, designed for young children and their grown-ups to slow down, connect and play together. We combine thoughtfully curated play, beautiful spaces and warm hospitality to create memorable everyday visits and special celebrations.

We are looking for a joyful, warm, proactive and highly organised Playspace Manager to lead the day-to-day operations at GoBuB, a boutique family playspace and event venue in Robertson Quay.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys creating beautiful experiences for families and takes pride in running a space to a high standard.

Daily Operations

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the playspace
• Welcome guests, take payments and make drinks (coffee and tea)
• Ensure the toys & space is tidy, organised and beautifully presented
• Manage stock, supplies and inventory
• Coordinate with cleaners, suppliers and external vendors

Customer Experience

• Welcome families and help create a warm, inclusive environment
• Build relationships with regular members and customers
• Handle enquiries and bookings
• Resolve day-to-day issues calmly and professionally

Team Management

• Coordinate staff schedules and daily responsibilities
• Help train and support team members
• Maintain high operational and service standards

Parties & Events

• Help decorate, host and oversee birthday parties and special events
• Ensure setups are completed to a high standard
• Coordinate with suppliers where required
• Assist in improving and refining event operations

Business Support

• Monitor operational processes and suggest improvements
• Assist with administrative tasks and reporting
• Support the growth and development of the business

Requirements

• Highly organised and dependable
• Friendly, warm, positive and confident working with families
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Able to work independently and take initiative
• Comfortable in a fast-paced small business environment
• Available to work occasional weekends (if required)

Bonus Skills (Not Required)

• Experience in hospitality, events or customer service
• Familiarity with social media content creation apps such as Cap Cut and Canva
• Experience in family, education or children’s businesses
