Their engineering team uses FEM/FDM simulations, 3D printing, and hybrid foundry techniques to accelerate product design and manufacturing in aerospace and high-spec industries.

Job Summary

We are an established precision engineering SME supporting aerospace and high-spec industries, seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer / Senior Quality Engineer to lead key quality activities with mentorship and potential succession to Quality Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the company’s Quality Management System to ensure compliance and effectiveness
  • Prepare documentation and coordinate activities for AS9100 and Nadcap audits to achieve certification standards
  • Manage First Article Inspection (FAI / AS9102) submissions to meet customer and regulatory requirements
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues across customer, supplier, incoming, in-process, and outgoing stages to minimize defects
  • Communicate and collaborate with customers, suppliers, and production teams to address non-conformance and quality concerns
  • Prepare, review, and track quality documents such as Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMR), Corrective Action Requests (CAR), Quality Alerts, and reports for audit readiness
  • Conduct internal quality audits and lead corrective and preventive action processes to enhance quality performance
  • Ensure inspection processes and reports are accurately maintained and updated for traceability
  • Monitor and manage calibration schedules for inspection and test equipment to guarantee measurement accuracy
  • Analyze quality performance data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and products
  • Develop and update inspection instructions and quality procedures to align with industry standards and company policies

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of quality engineering experience, with senior candidates demonstrating strong audit and customer quality management skills
  • Proficient knowledge of AS9100 standards is required
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles
  • Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI / AS9102), NCMR, CAR, internal audits, and customer quality requirements

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience in precision machining, aerospace, or manufacturing environments
  • Exposure to Nadcap audit processes and requirements
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership in an SME environment
