JOB DESCRIPTION:
Role: TECHNICAL LEAD (AS400 – CACS De-Migration)
Location: Singapore
Role Summary
Lead the de-migration from AS400 platform, focusing on legacy system analysis, data extraction, and documentation.
An AS400 CACS Technical Lead oversees the development, maintenance, and support of AS400 (IBM i) applications integrated with CACS (Collections and Recovery System).
This role acts as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring system stability, performance optimization, and compliance within the banking or financial services domain
Key Responsibilities:
Lead de-migration activities for CACS (AS400- IBM) for multiple business units
Perform detailed analysis of RPG/ COBOL/ CL Programs, DB2/ 400 data structure, batch jobs.
Batch Support & Governance
Technical Leadership: Lead the design, programming, and implementation of AS400 application systems for collections and recovery domains.
System Stability & Performance: Monitor system health, execute code reviews, optimize DB2 databases, and troubleshoot critical production issues.
CACS Integration & Batch Processing: Oversee complex batch processing, file handling, and interface integrations (SFTP, MQ) linking the AS400 environment to the core CACS systems.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical interface for business users, IT governance, and offshore delivery teams.
Compliance & SDLC: Ensure all project documentation, deployments, and changes align with banking compliance and SDM (Software Development Life Cycle) standards
Essential Requirements
Technical Expertise: Advanced hands-on proficiency with the IBM i (AS400) platform, specifically RPG/RPGLE (free format), COBOL/400, CL/CLLE, and DB2/400.
Domain Knowledge: Proven experience with UOB CACS (Collections and Recovery Systems) and Core Banking or Financial Services domains.
Tools & Databases: Familiarity with SQL, Aldon/Arcad (for deployment automation), Control-M (batch job scheduling), and secure file transfer protocols.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and the ability to clearly communicate with cross-functional teams.
