Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in WP, Kuala Lumpur. The Junior Conveyancing Lawyer will assist in handling end-to-end conveyancing matters, including preparing, reviewing, and finalizing sale and purchase agreements, loan documentation, and related real estate contracts. The role involves conducting due diligence on properties, performing land office and registry searches, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will liaise with clients, banks, government agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate timely completion of transactions. Daily responsibilities also include managing document filing, tracking critical deadlines, attending signings where required, and supporting senior lawyers on complex conveyancing and real estate files. The role requires strong attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple files in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Recognized law degree (LL.B or equivalent) and admission, or eligibility for admission, to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Foundational knowledge of conveyancing, land law, contract law, and related real estate regulations.
  • Strong legal drafting and document review skills, particularly for conveyancing and property-related agreements.
  • Good research and analytical abilities to interpret statutes, regulations, and contractual provisions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with clients, banks, government bodies, and colleagues.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing documents, timelines, and transaction checklists.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple files, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional integrity, discretion in handling confidential information, and a client-focused mindset.
  • Proficiency with standard office software and comfort working with digital document management systems.
  • Prior internship or experience in conveyancing or real estate practice is an advantage but not mandatory.
