JOB OBJECTIVE

To lead and manage all operational activities including cabin interior maintenance, seat cover manufacturing, seat assembly, project execution, logistics coordination, manpower planning, production scheduling and customer delivery requirements while ensuring compliance with CAAM Part 145, EASA Part 21G, company procedures, quality standards and safety requirements.

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations Management

• Responsible for the overall operational performance.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise all daily production and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and according to customer requirements.
• Monitor operational KPIs and productivity targets.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, cost control and resource utilization.
• Ensure effective coordination between Production, Quality, Engineering, Procurement and Commercial departments.

Production & Workshop Management

• Oversee cabin interior repair, refurbishment and modification activities.
• Oversee seat cover production and seat assembly operations.
• Ensure production schedules are achieved according to customer delivery commitments.
• Monitor production capacity, workload balancing and manpower allocation.
• Ensure tools, equipment and facilities are maintained in serviceable condition.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Project Management

• Lead project execution from quotation award until final delivery.
• Develop project plans, milestones and resource requirements.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
• Conduct regular project review meetings with internal departments and customers.
• Escalate operational risks and delays to Management.

Customer & Commercial Support

• Act as primary operational focal point for customers during project execution.
• Participate in customer meetings, project discussions and progress reviews.
• Support preparation of operational proposals, project schedules and resource planning for new business opportunities.
• Ensure customer requirements are properly translated into operational execution plans.

Supply Chain & Logistics

• Coordinate with Procurement and Stores for material availability.
• Ensure timely receipt and issuance of materials, components and customer supplied items.
• Monitor inventory levels for operational requirements.
• Coordinate local and international logistics activities related to project execution.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with CAAM Part 145, EASA Part 21G, company procedures and customer requirements.
• Work closely with Compliance Manager to ensure operational compliance.
• Ensure all operational personnel adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Management System (SMS).
• Support internal audits, external audits and regulatory inspections.
• Ensure corrective actions arising from audits are effectively implemented.

Resource & Manpower Management

• Plan manpower requirements and workforce deployment.
• Monitor staff productivity and competency levels.
• Identify training requirements and coordinate skills development programs.
• Conduct performance reviews and coaching for operational personnel.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Financial & Cost Control

• Monitor project costs and operational expenditures.
• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, materials and equipment.
• Support preparation of annual operational budgets.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality and safety.

Continuous Improvement

• Develop and implement Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives.
• Establish operational KPI dashboards.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for operational issues.
• Drive productivity, quality and delivery performance improvements.
• Participate in strategic initiatives related to expansion of MRO, manufacturing and base maintenance capabilities.

AUTHORITY

The Operations Manager is authorized to:

• Allocate operational manpower and resources.
• Approve operational work schedules and production plans.
• Stop production or maintenance activities where safety or quality concerns exist.
• Recommend procurement of tools, equipment and operational resources.
• Escalate operational risks directly to the COO
