Software Control Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and technically competent Software Control Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) of industrial automation and control systems, from design and programming to testing, commissioning, and ongoing support. This role offers the opportunity to work on safety-critical control systems and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver reliable and high-performance automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, program, and implement software solutions for industrial automation and control systems throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Design, configure, test, and maintain PLC-based control systems and related automation equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
- Participate in equipment assembly, installation, testing, commissioning, and site support activities.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including control system designs, safety compliance documents, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver projects on time and within specifications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and quality procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in industrial automation, control systems, or related engineering fields.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in PLC programming, system configuration, and I/O addressing.
- Familiar with industrial communication protocols such as RS232, Modbus, TCP/IP, and EtherCAT.
- Strong understanding of control system design, electrical engineering principles, and safety compliance requirements.
- Experience with PC-based motion control systems and HMI/user interface programming will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks Electrical and/or AutoCAD LT is preferred.

Employment Details
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
- Work Location: Singapore
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Salary Range: SGD 4,000 – SGD 6,000 per month (commensurate with qualifications and experience)
