Customer Service Executive

(Garden Centre / Retail Environment)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional service to retail and wholesale customers.
• Assist with plant selections, gardening products, and related merchandise.
• Proactively engage customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products.
• Deliver a seamless customer journey, from enquiry to purchase and after-sales support.
• Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat visits.
• Develop product knowledge in plants, plant care, soil, fertilizers, pots, and gardening tools.
• Identify plants and provide care instructions with confidence.
• Manage Point of Sale (POS) transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Support product displays, replenishment, and maintain an attractive retail environment.
• Respond promptly to customer enquiries and handle concerns professionally.
• Collaborate with team members during peak hours, events, and promotions.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of retail and outdoor garden areas.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and support stock management tasks.

Job Requirements

• Positive attitude with a customer-first mindset.
• Energetic, physically fit, and comfortable working outdoors (sun and rain included).
• Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
• Basic IT literacy and ability to operate POS systems.
• Interest in plants, gardening, and nature.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a new industry.
• Team player who isn’t afraid to get hands dirty.
• Must be willing to work at least one weekend day.
