Responsibilities
Sip Sip is a lifestyle café-bar in the heart of Raffles Place, serving reimagined local comfort food with a twist. By day, we focus on brunch and café-style dining; by night, we transition into a more refined, sharing-style experience alongside wines, cocktails, and music.
We’re looking for a capable and driven Sous Chef to support kitchen leadership and help deliver a consistent, high-quality food experience across both casual and refined service.
As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to manage day-to-day kitchen operations, maintain food quality, and lead the team during service. You’ll be hands-on in both prep and execution, ensuring consistency across brunch, lunch, and evening menus.
Support the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations
Lead the kitchen during service and ensure smooth workflow
Execute dishes across Western, local, brunch, and small plates formats
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
Train and guide junior kitchen staff
Assist in menu development, costing, and R&D
Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control
Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards
Minimum 3–5 years of kitchen experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role
Strong foundation in Western and local cuisine, with experience in brunch and café concepts
Able to handle both casual dining service and more refined plating
Good leadership and communication skills
Hands-on, organised, and able to work under pressure
Food Hygiene Certification required
Able to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible shifts
