Job Description

Requirements

 Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in B2B business development, technical account management, SaaS sales, or product-adjacent roles within the Malaysian tech or startup ecosystem.
  • The "0-to-1" Mindset: A proactive self-starter who thrives on ambiguity, handles early-stage product friction gracefully, and enjoys the puzzle of finding product-market fit.
  • Technical & Product Literacy: Strong ability to liaise comfortably with developers and engineers. You must comfortably understand digital user flows, software integration/APIs, and how to define clear product specifications.
  • Local Market Acumen: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across diverse business profiles—ranging from traditional local workshop owners to modern boutique salon operators. Multilingual capability (English, Bahasa Malaysia, or Mandarin) is a strong advantage.
  • Execution Style: Highly organized, process-driven, and data-oriented. Able to extract meaningful trends from messy customer conversations and present them cleanly to internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

 Company Overview

We are an established Malaysian B2B IoT solutions provider, best known for our flagship management platform, Laundro, which successfully powers commercial automation across Malaysia and regional markets. We are now expanding our technology footprint into a new vertical: deploying advanced AI-driven operational solutions for service-based businesses, initially targeting the Automotive (workshops, detailing centers) and Wellness (salons, spas) industries.

Role Overview

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, high-growth Business Development & Venture Operator to work directly alongside the CEO to drive our new AI Appointment System from 0 to 1.

Our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is an intelligent booking and scheduling assistant designed to solve the problem of missed front-desk operations, ensuring business owners never lose a booking. You will not be executing a pre-written sales playbook. Instead, you will be the front-line executioner—running ground-level customer discovery, using Laundro’s track record to build corporate credibility, securing pioneer pilot partners, and directly collaborating with our internal product and engineering teams to refine the system based on real-world usage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Validation & Customer Discovery

  • Conduct structured discovery interviews and field visits with local automotive workshops and wellness salon operators to map out their booking workflows, front-desk bottlenecks, and commercial willingness to pay.
  • Actively gather ground-level user feedback to help the CEO refine product positioning, core value propositions, and subscription pricing models.
  • Document successful approach strategies, objection-handling techniques, and buyer personas to establish our initial Go-To-Market (GTM) playbook.

2. Pilot Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Collaborate closely with the CEO to drive the local merchant acquisition strategy; independently lead discovery meetings and pitches when the CEO is managing existing enterprise relationships.
  • Use Laundro’s operational success, hardware-software reliability, and high-uptime track record as a benchmark case study to establish immediate credibility with prospective partners.
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of pioneer pilot accounts—from initial approach and technical onboarding to tracking daily AI booking data and maintaining high merchant engagement.

3. Product-to-Market Bridge (Tech Liaison)

  • Act as the key communication bridge between early pilot users (workshops/salons) and our internal technical team.
  • Translate raw, unstructured user feedback, system edge cases, and feature requests from the field into structured product requirements and clear user stories for our software developers.
  • Coordinate directly with the product team to monitor the delivery timeline of critical features and UI updates requested by pilot merchants.
