We are looking for an M&E Engineer to manage and coordinate Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works for interior fit-out, renovation, and construction projects.

Responsibilities include site coordination, project costing, tender preparation, budgeting, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety requirements.

The ideal candidate should have relevant experience, technical knowledge, and good communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works for interior fit-out, renovation, and construction projects.
• Review M&E drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and authority regulations.
• Coordinate closely with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams on all M&E matters.
• Monitor M&E work progress to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Identify, report, and resolve technical discrepancies, clashes, and coordination issues on site.
• Ensure all M&E installations comply with relevant standards, authority requirements, and project specifications.
• Attend client, consultant, technical coordination, and site meetings to provide M&E technical support and updates.
• Inspect and monitor M&E workmanship quality and ensure rectification works are carried out promptly when required.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of M&E systems and services.
• Prepare and maintain M&E progress reports, inspection records, technical submissions, shop drawings, and project documentation.
• Monitor project variations and ensure proper approvals and instructions are obtained before additional works commence.
• Coordinate with authorities, consultants, and service providers for approvals, inspections, and technical compliance matters.
• Ensure all M&E works comply with company procedures, Project Quality Plan (PQP), and safety requirements.
• Support project delivery within budget, schedule, client expectations, and business objectives.
• Responsible for managing and maintaining good working relationships with stakeholders.

Job Requirement:

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in M&E coordination and supervision within the construction industry, preferably in interior fit-out, renovation, and refurbishment projects.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems including electrical, air conditioning & ventilation (ACMV), plumbing & sanitary, fire protection, and ELV systems.
• Familiar with authority requirements, technical standards, and M&E coordination processes.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, construction coordination, quantity take-off, and project costing.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, technical specifications, and site coordination requirements.
• Possess good project coordination, technical problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Capable of monitoring M&E progress, workmanship quality, testing & commissioning activities, and project schedules.
• Able to communicate effectively and establish strong working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
• Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
• Independent, proactive, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced project environment.
• Familiar with project quality standards, safety practices, authority submissions, and variation control procedures will be an added advantage.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
