Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Security Systems & Network Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the configuration, programming, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of security systems and network infrastructure for commercial and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, program, and commission security systems, including:
• CCTV Systems
• Access Control Systems
• Intrusion Alarm Systems
• Intercom Systems
• Visitor Management Systems
• Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Set up and maintain IP addressing, VLANs, VPNs, and network connectivity for security systems.
• Perform system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Carry out system upgrades, firmware updates, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, programming backups, and commissioning reports.
• Provide technical support to project teams, service personnel, and clients.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technicians to ensure successful project delivery.
• Attend site visits for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in security systems, networking, or system integration is an advantage.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Familiarity with CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Alarm, and Integrated Security Systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and technical drawings.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Possession of a valid Class 3 Driving Licence is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or equivalent networking certifications.
• Experience with security platforms including Hikvision, Milestone, Genetec, Honeywell, Gallagher, Bosch, or similar systems.
• Experience in security system commissioning, integration, and project implementation.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for network-connected security systems is an added advantage.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
