Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings, shop drawings, assembly drawings, and as-built drawings for engineering projects.
• Produce 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other relevant drafting software.
• Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Prepare fabrication details including dimensions, welding details, material specifications, cutting plans, and assembly instructions.
• Generate Bill of Materials (BOM), material take-off (MTO), and cutting lists for fabrication purposes.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Production Supervisors, and Site Teams to ensure drawings are practical and manufacturable.
• Revise and update drawings according to project changes, site requirements, and client comments.
• Conduct drawing verification and ensure accuracy before releasing drawings for fabrication.
• Support fabrication, assembly, and installation activities by providing technical drawing clarification when required.
• Maintain proper documentation and revision control of all project drawings.
• Assist in project planning and execution by ensuring timely completion of drawings according to project schedules.
• Participate in site measurements and site visits when required to verify dimensions and project requirements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, client specifications, and relevant engineering codes.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, Design Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in fabrication drafting, mechanical drafting, or engineering drafting.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD software.
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding practices, structural steel works, piping systems, and mechanical assemblies.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&ID, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
• Familiar with BOM preparation and material take-off processes.
• Good problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
• Willing to travel to project sites when required.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
