Responsibilities

Site Manager – Structured Cabling

Location: Johor Bahru or Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job Type: Full-time, Site-Based (Hyperscale Data Centre Projects)

Salary: RM 9,000 – RM 12,000 per month


Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our delivery team in Johor Bahru, supporting the execution of large-scale hyperscale data centre projects. The successful candidate will take full ownership of on-site delivery activities, ensuring all works are completed safely, on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a fully site-based role requiring strong leadership, hands-on coordination of engineering teams, and direct engagement with contractors, clients, and project stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities


Site Delivery & Leadership

  • Oversee supervisors and engineering teams to ensure structured cabling installations are delivered to specification, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate all on-site activities, ensuring smooth workflow across multiple contractors and disciplines.
  • Provide clear direction to site teams and resolve on-site issues efficiently.


Health & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and client site requirements.
  • Carry out and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all site operations.


Quality Assurance

  • Conduct regular quality inspections of cabling and installation works.
  • Ensure all works meet industry best practices, project specifications, and manufacturer standards.
  • Identify and correct defects or non-compliance issues promptly.


Materials & Logistics

  • Manage site materials efficiently to avoid delays or shortages.
  • Order materials as required and track delivery schedules.
  • Maintain accurate stock control and usage records.


Project Coordination & Reporting

  • Produce daily and weekly progress reports for Project Managers and stakeholders.
  • Attend client and internal meetings, documenting actions and ensuring completion.
  • Maintain and update site drawings and as-built documentation.


Documentation & Compliance

  • Compile and maintain patching schedules and ensure timely execution.
  • Produce Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals as required.
  • Ensure all installation records are accurately completed and stored.


Commercial Awareness

  • Support efforts to maximise project profitability through efficient resource and time management.
  • Assist in managing variations and identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible.


Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience leading site-based engineering or cabling teams within data centre or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling installation standards and best practices.
  • Experience in hyperscale or large-scale IT/data centre projects (preferred).
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, high-demand environments.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong communication skills with confidence in client-facing situations.
  • Excellent organisational and coordination abilities.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and safety.
