Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Equipment Technician role based in Kulim. The Equipment Technician will perform routine and corrective maintenance on semiconductor production equipment to ensure stable operation and minimal downtime. Daily tasks include equipment setup, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance according to standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. The role involves monitoring equipment performance, identifying root causes of faults, and coordinating with engineers and production teams to implement improvements. The Equipment Technician will also document maintenance activities, support equipment upgrades, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Strong equipment maintenance skills, with hands-on experience in Equipment Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and working with production or Heavy Equipment.
- Proficient in fault diagnosis and Troubleshooting, including identifying root causes, performing repairs, and restoring equipment to stable operation.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with engineers, production teams, and vendors, and to document maintenance work clearly and accurately.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in semiconductor, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing is an advantage; familiarity with cleanroom practices and EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards is beneficial.
- Ability to work in shifts, follow standard operating procedures, and adhere to safety and quality requirements.
- Basic computer literacy for maintenance reporting and use of equipment monitoring systems.
