Job Description

Responsibilities

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our Finance team. This internship offers valuable hands-on exposure to Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and E-Invoicing operations within a dynamic business environment.


As a Finance & Accounting Intern, you will support day-to-day finance activities, gain practical experience in financial controls and accounting processes, and develop a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and financial systems.


Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Assign and match collections received from branches to the correct customer accounts.
  • Ensure collections are properly referenced, documented, and updated in the accounting system.
  • Investigate and escalate unidentified or unmatched collections for further review.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate customer account records and support AR reconciliation activities.


Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Support the processing of supplier invoices and payment transactions.
  • Match supplier invoices against supporting documents, including Purchase Orders (PO), Delivery Notes (DN), and Goods Received Notes (GRN).
  • Verify invoice details for accuracy and completeness prior to processing.
  • Upload and record supplier invoices into the accounting system.
  • Ensure payment references and invoice numbers are accurately matched.
  • Maintain organized documentation and filing for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Assist with AP reconciliations and month-end closing activities.


E-Invoicing Support

  • Update transaction information into the standard E-Invoice template.
  • Verify customer, invoice, and transaction details before submission.
  • Monitor E-Invoice submission status and assist in resolving data discrepancies.
  • Support compliance with LHDN E-Invoice requirements and internal procedures.


Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
