Responsibilities

We are seeking a hands-on and technically strong Business Systems Technical Lead to support and manage our internal business applications, system integrations, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise systems landscape.


This role will play a critical part in our ongoing Odoo ERP implementation, post-go-live stabilization, and long-term business systems support. Beyond the rollout phase, you will drive system enhancements, oversee integrations, coordinate with vendors and developers, and ensure our business applications continue to evolve in line with organizational needs.

The ideal candidate is a practical problem-solver who is comfortable investigating technical issues directly, reviewing code, analyzing logs, querying databases, troubleshooting APIs, and working closely with business users, vendors, and developers to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

Business Systems Ownership

  • Support and maintain internal business applications throughout the transition to Odoo ERP.
  • Take ownership of technical continuity, system documentation, support processes, and application knowledge management.
  • Ensure proper handover and documentation of legacy systems, integrations, reports, scripts, and technical dependencies.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand system challenges and provide effective technical solutions.
  • Support post-go-live stabilization activities and reduce dependency on external vendors over time.


Odoo ERP Rollout & Support

  • Support the migration from legacy systems to Odoo ERP.
  • Coordinate with System Integrators (SI) and vendors on technical issues, integrations, data migration, customization requirements, and defect resolution.
  • Participate in UAT, defect triage, cutover planning, go-live readiness, and hypercare support.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to configurations, data, customizations, integrations, access controls, and business processes.
  • Ensure technical issues are documented, tracked, tested, and resolved in a timely manner.


System Integrations & API Management

  • Support integrations between Odoo, internal systems, reporting platforms, and third-party applications.
  • Troubleshoot REST APIs, webhooks, authentication issues, JSON/XML payloads, synchronization failures, and data discrepancies.
  • Document integration architecture, support procedures, ownership models, and recovery processes.
  • Support future integration initiatives as new business requirements emerge.


Data Validation, Migration & Reporting

  • Perform SQL queries for troubleshooting, reporting support, data validation, and migration activities.
  • Conduct data reconciliation, mapping validation, duplicate detection, exception reporting, and control checks.
  • Collaborate with business users and vendors to address data quality and reporting issues.
  • Support financial and operational reporting validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency.


Cloud Infrastructure & Deployment Support

  • Assist in supporting and monitoring AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot application, database, server, and deployment-related issues.
  • Work with vendors and internal stakeholders on AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, as well as Linux, Docker, Nginx, and CI/CD environments.
  • Ensure system changes are properly tested, documented, and deployed in accordance with change management procedures.


Vendor & Technical Team Coordination

  • Coordinate technical activities across vendors, system integrators, developers, and business users.
  • Review technical proposals, change requests, system enhancements, and solution recommendations.
  • Challenge unnecessary customizations and advocate for sustainable, scalable solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and support team members.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, handover materials, and decision records.


Continuous Improvement & Future Enhancements

  • Drive continuous improvements and future enhancements for Odoo and related business systems.
  • Assess new business requirements, technology solutions, and integration opportunities.
  • Ensure new systems and enhancements are well-designed, supportable, properly documented, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with stakeholders to balance business needs with technical sustainability and operational efficiency.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in business systems support, ERP implementation, application management, or technical leadership roles.
  • Experience supporting ERP systems, preferably Odoo or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with system integrations, APIs, web services, and data migration projects.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, and CloudFront.
  • Experience working with Linux environments, Docker, Nginx, and deployment processes.
  • Ability to review logs, troubleshoot technical issues, and work closely with development teams and vendors.
  • Strong stakeholder management, vendor management, and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
