Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

Our client is a listed group with a growing presence in the property development sector. As part of its strategic expansion, the organisation is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead and transform its property development business.



Key Responsibilitie

  • sDevelop and execute the long-term strategic vision for the property development division
  • .Drive business growth through new developments, land acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships
  • .Identify emerging market opportunities and position the business competitively within the industry
  • .Lead transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and profitability
  • .Own the division's full P&L and ensure sustainable revenue and profit growth
  • .Establish financial targets, investment strategies, and capital allocation plans
  • .Present business performance and strategic initiatives to the Board and key stakeholders
  • .Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • .Monitor development pipelines and optimise portfolio performance
  • .Evaluate investment proposals, feasibility studies, and project viability
  • .Build relationships with government agencies, landowners, investors, and business partners
  • .Provide strategic direction for sales and marketing initiatives to maximise project take-up rates and revenue generation
  • .Ensure strong market positioning and product differentiation aligned with customer demand
  • .Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements
  • .Represent the organisation at industry forums and key external engagements
  • .Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing executive leadership team
  • .Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and performance excellence
  • .Drive succession planning and organisational capability development

Requiremen

  • tsBachelor's Degree in Business, Civil Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline. MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is highly preferre
  • d.Minimum 15 years of leadership experience within the property development industry, including significant experience as General Manager, COO, Managing Director, or equivalent executive leve
  • l.Proven track record in leading end-to-end property development businesses with responsibility for strategy, operations, and financial performanc
  • e.Excellent financial and commercial acumen with experience managing multi-million-ringgit development portfolio
  • s.Established network with industry stakeholders, investors, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities is advantageou
  • s.Exceptional leadership, negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skill
  • s.Experience within a listed property developer or large integrated property group would be highly desirabl
  • e.Proven ability to drive organisational growth and transformatio
