This role is to support and manage a broad range of consulting engagements across areas such as risk management, internal audit, sustainability advisory, financial modelling, and business advisory services.
This position combines business consulting, regulatory advisory, and analytical work, offering opportunities to work on diverse client engagements, perform quantitative analysis, and deliver practical solutions across various industries.
Responsibilities
- Support consulting engagements across areas including risk management, internal audit, anti-fraud and anti-bribery reviews, sustainability advisory, business setup, tax incentives, business valuation, financial advisory, human resource consulting, liquidation, e-Invoice advisory and stamp duty advisory.
- Assist clients in complying with regulatory requirements related to their business operations and industry obligations.
- Perform risk assessments, internal audit procedures and agreed-upon procedures, including identifying findings and recommending practical solutions to clients.
- Support preparation of sustainability statements, financial models, and business valuation analyses, as well as contributing to financial and transaction advisory work.
- Assist in preparing and submitting documentation such as information memorandums to relevant authorities, including the Securities Commission Malaysia.
- Conduct feasibility studies by analysing and interpreting key business, regulatory, licensing, immigration and customs requirements relevant to clients’ intended activities.
- Prepare proposals, marketing materials, presentations and other supporting documentation for both internal and client-facing purposes.
- Assist clients in resolving business issues and support business restructuring initiatives where required.
- Work on multiple client engagements simultaneously, managing tasks of varying scope and complexity in a dynamic consulting environment.
Specific Job Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues clearly and develop practical, creative solutions to meet client needs.
- Interest in consulting, data analysis, financial modelling and delivering data-driven insights across business functions.
- Experience or exposure to working with large datasets, performing analysis and making data-driven decisions is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently with guidance, while also being an active and collaborative team player with strong relationship-building skills.
- Strong communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English, with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionally.
- Highly motivated, adaptable, and willing to learn in a fast-paced and sometimes unstructured consulting environment.
- Travelling within Malaysia is expected.
Qualifications
- At least a University’s Bachelor’s Degree and/or post-graduate qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent
- STEM graduates are highly welcomed
- At least 2 years of working experience in related field
