Role Description

This is an on site office full-time role located in Novena for an Assistant Accountant. The Assistant Accountant will assist with preparing financial statements, maintaining accurate management accounts and related records.

Responsibilities include reconciling bank statements, processing payroll, assisting with tax preparation, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The position serves a critical role in supporting the organization’s financial operations and client engagements with accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting principles, financial statements, and bookkeeping
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
• Ability to assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with regulations
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred (min. diploma)
• Prior experience in a CPA firm or related environment is a plus
