Are you a passionate and skilled baker with an eye for detail and a love for creating beautiful desserts? We are looking for a dedicated Pastry or Cake Chef to join our team, focusing on the meticulous preparation, baking, and decoration of our high-quality sweet offerings. If you thrive on precision and artistry in a high-volume setting, this is your opportunity to hone your craft!

What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)

Pastry & Cake Artistry: Expertly prepare, bake, and decorate a diverse range of high-quality cakes, custom confections, and fine pastries according to established company recipes and gold standards.
Aesthetic Presentation: Assist in the intricate garnish and presentation of all pastry and cake items, ensuring every product is visually stunning.
Quality Control: Maintain stringent quality control by following recipes precisely and ensuring the finished product meets our high standards for taste and texture.
Operational Support: Assist in keeping food wastage to a minimum through correct product measurement and handling.
Kitchen Cleanliness: Take full responsibility for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organised work station at all times, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Team Collaboration: Proactively help team members and assist the senior team with tasks like inventory monitoring and supply ordering.



What You'll Need to Bring (Skills & Qualifications)



Experience: At least 1 year of proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Cake Decorator, or a similar role focused on pastry and cake production is highly preferred.
Work Environment: Comfortable working within a central kitchen production environment.
Certification: WSQ Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent Food Safety certification) is preferred.
Work Schedule: This is a 5 or 5.5-day work week position.
Availability: Must be able to work shifts as assigned, including weekends and Public Holidays.
