As a statutory board of the Ministry of Home Affairs and integral to the Home Team, HTX works at the forefront of science and technology to empower Singapore’s frontline of security. Our shared mission is to amplify, augment and accelerate the Home Team’s advantage and secure Singapore as the safest place on planet earth.
The jobholder will be part of the Cloud Engineering Team, a group of passionate engineers who understand DevSecOps is a culture and embracing AI is the future.
We are looking for a Head of Cloud Platform Engineering who will lead a team of engineers to design, develop, and maintain secure cloud infrastructure across multiple providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), manage container platforms, implement Infrastructure as Code, oversee software development workflows, and create self-service developer platforms to enhance productivity for HTX.
The Head will also lead the strategic evolution from traditional Infrastructure as Code towards modern, Intent-Based Infrastructure approaches, guiding the exploration of AI technologies to support autonomous infrastructure capabilities whilst overseeing the integration of AI-driven orchestration into Enterprise Service Delivery to meet scalability and operational standards throughout the product lifecycle
What You Will Be Working On

- Work closely with the Site Reliability team to ensure that cloud infrastructure deployment, monitoring, and operational processes adhere to established security protocols and compliance standards.
- Enable developers by understanding their requirements and providing support in achieving scalable, secure, and optimised cloud infrastructure through platform services and functions.
- Define the roadmap and develop features for the cloud platform to support infrastructure use cases required by projects using the platform.
- Design and implement standardised developer tools and workflow systems that enhance productivity, ensure consistency, and apply good practices for cloud infrastructure management.
- Oversee the implementation of cloud infrastructure workflows for end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle, including infrastructure versioning, security scanning, compliance checks, deployment blueprints, and automated monitoring.
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance platform capabilities while keeping pace with evolving AI and cloud infrastructure engineering needs.
- Drive a continuous improvement mindset, encouraging experimentation and iterative enhancement of the platform.
- Mentor, train, and retain a high-performing cloud platform engineering team, fostering innovation and technical excellence.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues.
- Experience in platform engineering to build cloud infrastructure solutions that are "for developers by developers".
- Knowledge of cloud security, compliance frameworks, vulnerability management, and incident response is preferred.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to articulate technical trade-offs and influence a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation.
- High attention to detail and a risk-aware mindset, balanced with the pragmatism needed to enable rapid innovation with a culture of continuous improvement.
