Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all gym equipment, facilities, and building systems are well maintained, safe, and operational. This role supports smooth club operations by performing preventive maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards across the fitness club(s).

Key Responsibilities

Equipment & Facility Maintenance

• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on gym equipment (treadmills, bikes, strength machines, lockers, showers, lighting, air-conditioning, etc.).

• Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues.

• Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs and servicing.

• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities and service schedules.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure facilities comply with workplace safety, health, and hygiene standards.

• Conduct regular safety checks and report hazards or defects immediately.

• Assist in fire safety drills and emergency response situations.

Operations Support

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from club staff.

• Support new club openings, renovations, and equipment installations.

• Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment for events or promotions.

Housekeeping & Upkeep

• Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of storage rooms, plant rooms, and technical areas.

• Monitor inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
