Job Description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our Contract team. This role focuses on managing project costs, preparing tender and contract documents, conducting quantity take-offs, and supporting the project team in ensuring cost efficiency and smooth financial administration for construction projects.

Work location: Dover/Yishun area

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage measurements and cost estimates for construction projects, from initial calculations through to final accounts
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including Bills of Quantities
  • Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors, and negotiate where necessary
  • Perform quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates for project and tender submissions
  • Review and interpret civil & structural (C&S), architectural, and mechanical & electrical (M&E) drawings
  • Prepare contract documentation in accordance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Conduct cost analysis and monitor project costs to ensure project objectives are achieved
  • Assess progress payments and variation works for clients and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow
  • Liaise with clients, management, and subcontractors, and monitor the progress of main and subcontract works
  • Track project progress and handle measurement and valuation of variations for interim payments and final accounts
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, processes, and procedures
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Knowledge of both civil and architectural works is preferred.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in building, HDB, or condominium projects, or projects of similar scale and complexity, will be an advantage.
