Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Overview

We are seeking a System Administrator to manage and support enterprise infrastructure environments, covering server provisioning, system configuration, security hardening, and operational readiness. This role is critical in ensuring systems are stable, secure, and fully compliant before deployment into production.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in system administration, strong exposure to infrastructure environments, and the ability to coordinate across multiple technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration & Infrastructure

  • Provision and configure servers, including virtual machines and OS clustering
  • Perform system setup activities such as domain joining, AD/OU configuration, and environment preparation
  • Support database setup in collaboration with DBA teams
  • Configure load balancers, firewall rules, and system connectivity

Platform & Tool Administration

  • Install and configure enterprise tools including monitoring, backup, and system management platforms
  • Support onboarding of infrastructure and security tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, monitoring solutions)
  • Manage SSL certificate installation and system-level configurations

Security & Compliance

  • Perform vulnerability scans and support remediation activities
  • Execute OS hardening and patching prior to production deployment
  • Support risk assessment processes and ensure compliance with security policies
  • Assist in privileged access management setup (e.g., CyberArk or equivalent)

Testing & Operational Readiness

  • Conduct system validation including HA/failover testing
  • Perform backup and restoration testing to ensure data integrity
  • Support go-live readiness, including checklist completion and approvals
  • Prepare and maintain system documentation and operation guides

Coordination & Support

  • Collaborate with network, application, DBA, and security teams
  • Support change management processes including CAB approvals
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of system setup and deployment

Requirements

Technical Skills

  • Experience in system administration (Windows/Linux environments)
  • Strong knowledge of server setup, virtualization, and clustering
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, and network fundamentals
  • Experience with backup, monitoring, and system integration tools

Security & Governance

  • Exposure to OS hardening, patching, and vulnerability management
  • Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, and security best practices
  • Understanding of risk assessment and compliance requirements

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with tools such as QRadar, SolarWinds, CyberArk, or similar
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and change management workflows
  • Experience in enterprise or regulated environments is an advantage
