Our client is a globally recognised FMCG powerhouse with a flagship manufacturing facility in Enstek. They are seeking a strategically minded Associate Director, Plant Engineering to lead their engineering function and set the direction for maintenance excellence across the site.

The Role

Step in, take the lead, and make your mark. You'll oversee a team spanning maintenance, capital projects, utilities, and facilities - driving performance from the shop floor up.

• Developing and executing strategic maintenance and CAPEX plans aligned to business objectives
• Designing and embedding preventive maintenance programmes to boost reliability and reduce unplanned downtime
• Owning capital projects end-to-end - from feasibility and budgeting through to safe, on-time delivery
• Controlling departmental budgets and recommending cost-efficient solutions for equipment and infrastructure
• Championing full compliance with EHS, GMP, HACCP, and applicable regulatory frameworks
• Nurturing team capability across the engineering and facilities management function

What We're Looking For

A technically strong, strategically driven leader ready to own the function.

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a closely related discipline
• Minimum 15 years' plant maintenance experience, including at least 8 years in a leadership role within FMCG
• Strong command of TPM and RCM methodologies, with a multi-year maintenance strategy mindset
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP platforms, and familiarity with SCADA-controlled environments
• Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and ISO standards
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven results-driven approach
