We are looking for an Internal Control Specialist to add value and improve our operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The successful candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and a sound judgement

Responsibilities:

• Draft audit planning documents, scope of audits and develop appropriate audit programs for Head of Department approval in order to meet audit objectives
• Perform audit planning such as preliminary interviews, information gathering and data analytics
• Execute field work within the stipulated timeline and to provide all evidence supporting the required findings and recommendations, including finalization of audit working papers
• Draft and finalize audit report for Head of department approval
• Conduct periodic follow-up audit on agreed action plans, review evidence provided and provide recommendations to stakeholders for effective closure of audit findings
• Close collaboration with audits from external audit firm on audit activities
• Conduct control design testing as per the internal control framework and ensure all evidence is available to support control assessment conclusion
• Conduct quarterly follow ups with management on risk management activity and ensure the risk management framework is operating effectively
• Assist the Head of Audit in executing special investigations, due diligence and follow up reviews as requested by the Audit Committee or senior Management

Requirement Terms:

• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIA
• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy Minimum 5 years of working experience with exposure to risk management, internal audit and SOX compliance testing
• FMCG experience would be an added advantage
• Sound analytical skill and able to work independently
• Strong spoken and written skills (English), including ability to speak in Bahasa Malaysia
• Good understanding of SAP & DMS system
