Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Support Specialist to support the design, deployment, administration, and optimization of cloud environments across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. The role involves managing cloud infrastructure operations, supporting application integration, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring security, reliability, and cost efficiency of cloud services.

The incumbent will collaborate closely with development teams, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure smooth project delivery and operational support while adhering to IT policies and best practices.

Responsibilities also include maintaining architecture documentation, supporting cloud governance initiatives, and providing advisory support on emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.

The ideal candidate should possess strong cloud infrastructure knowledge, problem-solving capabilities, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management
  • Assist in designing, deploying, and configuring cloud environments, including virtual machines, containers, and serverless platforms.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources for optimal performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, including networking, security, and access controls.
  • Collaboration & Integration
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud-based applications with underlying infrastructure and services.
  • Support project solution designs to align with IT policies, guidelines, and technical requirements.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management (Added this new point)
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure smooth operations, timely issue resolution, and adherence to service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Support & Advisory
  • Provide guidance and support to end-users on cloud-related issues, best practices, and usage.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends and assess their potential impact on the organization.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain and administer IT architecture artefact repository.
  • Document cloud configurations, processes, and procedures for reference and training.
  • Prepare reports and documentation and reports directly to the CAG Officer-In-Charge.

 

Expectation

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure support, with a focus on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including infrastructure as code, serverless computing, containerization, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with cloud security and compliance frameworks, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, or Google Associate Cloud Engineer, are an advantage.
