about the job

As the Freight Manager, you will lead the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of all international inbound and outbound freight across the Asia Pacific region. Leading a team of two logistics coordinators, you will serve as the key regional authority for carrier performance, freight cost control, and driving continuous process improvements throughout the supply chain network. Success in this role requires close coordination with freight forwarders, 3PL partners, and customs brokers to ensure all transportation is timely, compliant, and cost-effective.

  • Logistics & Operational Leadership: Manage the entire logistics operation across Asia, overseeing all shipments, 3PLs, and freight partners to ensure the efficient and timely movement of materials.
  • Cost & Performance Optimization: Strategically negotiate freight rates, control shipping costs, and track performance metrics to optimize expenditure and delivery reliability.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all shipments strictly comply with international trade, customs, and local regulations, including hazardous goods (DG) handling, Free Trade Zone requirements, and accurate HS classification. Prepare and maintain all shipping documentation, coordinating closely with compliance teams and customs brokers to facilitate smooth clearance and audit readiness.
  • Troubleshooting & Improvement: Proactively resolve complex logistics issues (e.g., delays, damages, documentation errors) while driving continuous process improvements to enhance operational accuracy and efficiency.
  • System & Project Execution: Execute and maintain critical SAP and TMS transactions and master data, supporting system upgrades, integrations, and operational enhancements. Lead or support major supply chain projects, including warehouse relocations, stock transfers, site start-ups, and new product launches.
  • Team & Partner Management: Lead and manage logistics teams or 3PL partners to ensure high performance, compliance, and operational excellence, applying deep logistics expertise to support complex cross-border supply chain activities.
