About Us
We are a company specializing in clinical waste management and transportation services, handling waste collection from hospitals and clinics. Our operation involve high-risk materials and require strict compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations set by Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia (DOSH) and Department of Environment Malaysia.
Key Responsible
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) regulations and company policies
- Act as liaison with Department of Occupational Safety and Health Malaysia and Department of Environment Malaysia
- Logistics & Fleet Safety Oversight: * Monitor daily transportation operations to ensure drivers adhere to road safety protocols.
- Monitor lorry whereabouts and route adherence in real-time to ensure drivers are following assigned schedules for waste collection and clinic visits.
- Oversee vehicle (lorry) safety compliance, ensuring all units are roadworthy and meet PUSPAKOM standards.
- Maintenance Tracking: Monitor vehicle service logs and PUSPAKOM schedules to ensure 100% fleet uptime.
- Supervise fleet maintenance schedules and ensure essential spare parts are available and replaced according to safety standards to prevent on-road breakdowns.
- Develop and maintain HIRARC, SOPs, and risk assessments
- Training & Briefings: Lead safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and specialized training for drivers and general workers regarding clinical waste hazards.
- Perform routine workplace inspections, check fire extinguishers (APAR), emergency response readiness, and environmental cleanliness.
- Investigate incidents/accidents and prepare reports with corrective actions
- Monitor PPE usage and safe work procedures
- Conduct internal and external safety audits
- Support compliance related to clinical waste handling and environmental requirements
- Prepare report related to DOSH & Internal Safety
Requirement
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar OSH role (logistic or waste management preferred).
- Successful completion of an OSH Coordinator Training Program accredited by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) or a DOSH-approved training provider.
- Strong knowledge of HIRARC, OSHA environmental regulations, occupational safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to apply safety theories, principles, and methodologies to real-world scenarios.
- Possess excellent communication and leadership skill.
- Strong reporting, documentation and communication skills
- Independent, proactive and firm in enforcing safety practice
- Possess a valid driving licence E-full (added advantage)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
