Responsibilities

Job Title: Analyst – EDD

Location: Central, Hong Kong

Company Overview

Our client is a global financial services company headquartered in the US, with offices in over 15 countries.

Role Overview

The role will report to the EDD manager based in Hong Kong and play a key part ensuring the firm’s compliance to the local, regional, and global financial crime regulatory obligations related to anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, anti-bribery and corruption, and sanctions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct ongoing EDD review on existing higher risk clients’ profile and activity in accordance with established procedures and policies.
  2. Prepare EDD review outcome summary in a clear and concise manner with adequate justifications.
  3. Perform risk assessment, ensure timely and appropriate escalation of identified risks to management to determine the next course of action.
  4. Provide an assessment regarding the client’s AML program.
  5. Initiate client outreach and follow-up with client on outstanding requirements in a professional manner when applicable.
  6. Maintain accurate tracking of reviews to ensure adherence to defined review schedule.
  7. Assist management in maintaining robust and up-to-date procedures and policies.
  8. Provide support for FCC-related examinations, audit, and projects.
  9. Assist in other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the EDD manager.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  1. 1-3 years proven experience in financial industry with exposure to risk and compliance.
  2. Strong working knowledge of regional AML and regulations within the brokerage services industry.
  3. Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills.
  4. Solid can-do mind set and problem-solving ability.
  5. Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational and project management skills.
  6. Ability to work independently in a small-team environment and to multi-task with minimal supervision.
  7. ACAMS, AAMLP, CFE, CFCS, Series 7, or other certifications are a plus.
  8. Proficiency in English, Cantonese or Mandarin.
