The Junior QA & QC Executive is responsible for ensuring that electrical products, systems, and project deliverables comply with the Company's quality standards, technical specifications, customer requirements, and applicable industry regulations. The role involves conducting inspections, testing, documentation, and quality monitoring throughout the manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning stages. The Junior QA & QC Executive plays an important role in maintaining product reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions
Inspection and Testing
- Conduct inspections of incoming materials, work-in-progress activities, and completed electrical products or systems.
- Perform quality checks and functional testing to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Use measuring instruments, testing equipment, and inspection tools to assess product quality and performance.
- Ensure all equipment, tools, and measuring instruments are properly maintained, calibrated, and fit for use.
- Monitor assembly and installation activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and quality standards.
- Assist in factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and commissioning activities when required.
- Promote safe working practices and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing activities, and quality control results.
- Prepare inspection reports, test reports, non-conformance reports (NCR), and other quality-related documentation.
- Report defects, deviations, and quality issues to the Project Manager or relevant department for corrective action.
- Ensure all quality records are properly documented and filed in accordance with company procedures.
Compliance and Standards
- Ensure compliance with company quality management systems, customer specifications, and applicable industry standards.
- Follow established quality control procedures, inspection test plans (ITP), and standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Support internal and external quality audits when required.
- Stay updated on relevant electrical engineering standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities for quality-related issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve inspection processes, testing methods, and quality control procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering, project, production, and site teams to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Company's Quality Management System (QMS).
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Basic understanding of Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), and quality management systems.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, switchgear, control panels, or power distribution systems is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willing to travel and work at project or site locations when required.
