As we continue our digital transformation journey, we are looking for a visionary Senior DevOps & Site Reliability Engineer or Engineering Lead to spearhead our infrastructure strategy. You will be responsible for ensuring that our digital platforms—serving millions of readers daily—are scalable, resilient, and highly automated.

In this dual-track role, you will act as the technical authority for our cloud infrastructure and the guardian of system stability. You will manage complex multi-cloud environments (AWS & Alibaba Cloud) and drive Site Reliability (SRE) practices to ensure our news platforms remain online and performant, especially during high-traffic breaking news events.

     Multi-Cloud Architecture: Design, implement, and manage robust infrastructure across AWS and Alibaba Cloud, ensuring high availability and cost-optimization for regional and global traffic.

     Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): Establish and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs to ensure system health. Drive incident management processes, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement "self-healing" infrastructure to minimize downtime.

     Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Standardize environments using IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) to ensure reproducible and version-controlled infrastructure.

     CI/CD Automation: Architect and maintain automated deployment pipelines to support a fast-paced development culture, reducing human error and time-to-market.

     Performance & Scalability: Optimize system performance to handle massive concurrent user spikes typical of the online media industry.

     Observability & Security: Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and tracing (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). Ensure cloud security best practices (IAM, VPC, WAF) are integrated into the platform.

     Leadership (Lead Level): Mentor junior engineers, lead technical decision-making for the infrastructure roadmap, and promote a culture of operational excellence.

     Experience: Minimum 5 years of practical experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Architecture.

     Cloud Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of AWS (EC2, EKS, Lambda, RDS) and Alibaba Cloud (ECS, ACK, OSS, SLB). Good understanding of CDN solutions. Experience in cross-cloud integration is a major plus.

     IaC Mastery: Deep hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.

     Automation Tools: Strong familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

     SRE Tooling: Proficiency in container orchestration (Kubernetes/K8s) and observability suites.

     Industry Background: Previous experience in the online media, news, or high-traffic digital content industry is highly preferred (handling traffic spikes, CDN management).

     Languages: * Must: Professional fluency in Cantonese and English. Plus: Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage for regional collaboration.
