Fund Sales / Distribution — HNW & Institutional | Hong Kong or Shenzhen

A multi billion dollar asset manager, with an award-winning investment franchise, is hiring a senior Fund Sales professional to lead HNW and institutional distribution of its equity and equity hedge fund products.

The Firm

Our client is a multi billion asset management firm with a strong active-management heritage. The firm runs a credentialled portfolio-management team across equities and fixed income, holds onshore-China cross-border qualifications, and has been recognised by leading industry-award programmes for the quality of its investment franchise.

The Role

Reporting into senior management, the Fund Sales Director / Manager will be responsible for independently developing and maintaining HNW individual and institutional client relationships — including family offices, external wealth managers, fund-of-funds, and other distribution channels — for the firm's equity hedge fund and equity strategy products. The hire will work in close partnership with portfolio managers and the investment research team to translate product strategies into clear, compliant client conversations, drive subscription growth, and build long-term professional-trust-based relationships that maximise client stickiness and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Independently develop and maintain HNW individual and institutional client relationships, including family offices, external wealth managers, FoFs, and other professional distribution channels.
  2. Develop a deep understanding of the firm's equity hedge fund product strategies (return / risk profile, alpha sources, capacity) and deliver professional, compliant product interpretation to clients to drive partnerships to close.
  3. Build long-term, trust-based relationships with HNW and institutional clients, providing ongoing service, handling client queries, and continuously raising client stickiness and satisfaction.
  4. Work closely with portfolio managers and the research team to organise roadshows, investor strategy events, and other market-facing activities.
  5. Maintain rigorous compliance discipline consistent with an SFC-regulated institutional platform and applicable mainland-China fund-sales rules.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree or above in finance, economics, management, or a related discipline.
  2. 5+ years' experience selling equity-class financial products to HNW clients. Demonstrable experience selling equity hedge fund products is strongly preferred.
  3. A broad and active HNW client resource network across family offices, EAMs, private banks, FoFs, and / or direct UHNW individuals.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, confidence and approachability, high internal drive, stress resilience, and excellent presentation ability. Excellent English; native or near-native Mandarin.
  5. Solid finance fundamentals and genuine passion for equity-fund sales; familiarity with equity hedge fund product mechanics strongly preferred.
  6. Strong professional ethics, compliance awareness, and teamwork orientation; clean regulatory record. SFC RA1 / RA4 licensable for Hong Kong, or AMAC-qualified for mainland fund sales.
