Equity Trading Support Analyst (Front-Office)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Equity Trading Support Analyst to join our Front-Office IT team. You will be at the heart of our trading operations, ensuring the high availability and seamless performance of our critical trading systems, including OMS, EMS, and Algo engines. This is a business-facing role that requires a blend of technical expertise, market knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Trading System Maintenance: Perform daily health checks, real-time monitoring, and testing for OMS, EMS, connectivity, and Algo engines to ensure zero downtime.
2. Front-Desk Support: Provide comprehensive day-to-day technical support for traders and business users in Hong Kong and across regional offices.
3. Connectivity & Onboarding: Lead the analysis, development, and testing of new client connections (FIX/DMA) and exchange connectivity.
4. Change & Incident Management: Execute system deployments and post-change health checks following strict change management protocols. Track all incidents via ServiceNow/SharePoint.
5. Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate with business owners, infrastructure teams, and external exchanges on system enhancements, priorities, and compliance-driven market rehearsals.
6. Business Analysis: Conduct feasibility studies and impact analysis for new system solutions to support business expansion.

Technical & Market Expertise

Required Systems & Protocols:

1. Trading Platforms: Hands-on experience with Fidessa, Flextrade, or Ullink (Broadridge) .
2. Protocols: In-depth knowledge of FIX messaging protocol (client and exchange side).
3. Infrastructure: Proficiency in Windows, UNIX/Linux environments.
4. Databases: Practical knowledge of Sybase or MSSQL .

Market Knowledge:

1. Solid understanding of Equity Cash Trading across major Asian exchanges.
2. Familiarity with various order flows, DMA, and Algo trading logic.

Candidate Requirements

1. Experience: Minimum 5 years in Investment Banking or Securities Brokerage, with a proven track record in Trader Support .
2. Education: University degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline.
3. Problem Solving: A proactive, lateral thinker capable of resolving complex technical issues within tight market windows.
4. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with a good command of English; able to communicate effectively with high-pressure front-office stakeholders.
5. Work Ethics: Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to multitask.
6. Availability: Willingness to perform weekend work and provide out-of-office hour support as required by market demands.
7. Languages: English is a must.
