Our client in the financial services industry is seeking a Flutter Mobile Tech Lead to drive the development of high-quality mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms. This role combines hands-on Flutter development with technical leadership responsibilities, offering the opportunity to mentor developers, guide technical decisions and deliver innovative mobile solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience building and releasing Flutter applications in production environments
• Strong proficiency in Flutter and Dart
• Experience leading, mentoring or guiding development teams
• Experience integrating third-party libraries, APIs and RESTful services
• Familiarity with state management solutions such as Provider, Bloc or Riverpod
• Experience working with mobile databases such as SQLite or Hive
• Strong understanding of Git workflows and version control practices
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines for Flutter applications
• Knowledge of native mobile development is an advantage
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting and performance optimisation skills
• Experience with testing tools and frameworks such as Mockito, Flutter Driver and integration testing
• Understanding of secure mobile application development and data protection best practices
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Exposure to Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality Flutter applications for Android and iOS platforms
• Lead, manage and mentor the mobile development team
• Collaborate with backend developers, product managers and UI/UX designers to deliver responsive mobile applications
• Translate business requirements and design mockups into fully functional features
• Write clean, scalable and maintainable code following industry best practices
• Optimise application performance, responsiveness and efficiency
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve development productivity
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve application issues
• Perform root cause analysis to ensure application stability and reliability
• Develop and maintain unit, widget and integration tests
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives
• Conduct code reviews and maintain development quality standards
• Ensure compliance with App Store and Google Play platform requirements
