Responsibilities

Overview

See it differently. You see the world through a unique lens and that’s exactly what we need. We embrace how you see things differently – it’s essential for creating a sustainable future. We guide, plan, and design the future of the built environment. As a global consultancy with extensive technical and advisory expertise, we bring a Total Design approach to our work with our clients. This is how we shape a better world. Globally, each year we recruit hundreds of graduates to help us see things differently and solve the most complex challenges facing our clients, climate and communities.

The Opportunity

A career at Arup offers you the chance to make a positive difference in the world. Independently owned and independently minded, Arup is the creative force at the heart of many of the world’s most prominent projects in the built environment. When you join Arup, you immediately become part of our global community working on some of the world’s most recognised projects.

Internship Experience
  • Purpose‑driven work: Join an employee‑owned team tackling climate, biodiversity, and social challenges, aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Create remarkable outcomes: We trust you to explore challenges, drive change, and create lasting outcomes for our clients, climate and communities.
  • Inclusive culture: Your unique perspective matters. We celebrate diversity and foster a supportive, social environment where everyone belongs.
Is this role right for you?

We’re looking for changemakers: a passion for sustainable development and creating a better world. We’re looking for innovative minds who embrace new ideas and challenge the status quo. We’re looking for growth seekers with a growth mindset, always eager to learn and explore new ways of working. We’re looking for adaptable adventurers ready to take on any challenge that comes your way.

Eligibility
  • Full working rights in the country of application.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s level qualification in Fire Safety, Structural Fire Engineering (SFE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), or Building Services Engineering (BSE).
  • Availability to work over the relevant internship period.

Duplicate applications: Candidates should submit only one application per recruitment cycle. All applications flow into a central talent pool, and our team will review your profile for all suitable internship opportunities. Please note, in the event of high applicant volume, this role may be closed ahead of the advertised closing date. Early application is recommended.

What we offer you

Guided by our values, we provide a fair and equitable total reward package and offer a career in which all our members can belong, grow and thrive through benefits that support health and wellbeing, a wide range of learning opportunities and many possibilities to have an impact through the work they do. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to utilise your technical expertise to do meaningful work that strengthens the resilience of communities and places to improve lives through Arup’s community engagement programme.
