Job Description

Responsibilities

1) Reviewing and organizing raw footage, including video clips, audio tracks, graphics, and special effects.

2) Identifying key scenes, shots, and takes that best convey the intended message or story.

3) Assembling video clips and other elements in a logical and aesthetically pleasing sequence.

4) Working with directors and producers to understand the desired flow, pacing, and tone of the video.

5) Applying various editing techniques, such as cutting, trimming, splicing, and layering, to create a seamless and engaging narrative.

6) Manipulating footage to create visual continuity, coherence, and desired effects.

7) Synchronizing audio tracks with video, including voiceovers, music, sound effects, and ambient noise.

8) Adjusting audio levels, equalization, and other sound properties to enhance the auditory experience.

9) Incorporating visual effects, transitions, and graphics to enhance storytelling and visual appeal.

10) Collaborating with graphic designers or visual effects artists, if necessary.

11) Adjusting and enhancing colour balance, contrast, brightness, and saturation to create a visually pleasing and consistent look.

12) Applying colour grading to create specific visual moods or styles.

13) Collaborating with directors, producers, and other team members to ensure alignment with the creative vision.

14) Participating in review sessions, receiving feedback, and making necessary revisions.

15) Finalizing the edit by adding titles, credits, and other finishing touches.

16) Exporting the final video in the appropriate format, resolution, and compression settings for its intended distribution channels.

17) Creating and managing different versions or cuts of the video, such as teasers, trailers, or platform-specific edits.

18) Maintaining organized project files and archives for future reference or revisions.

19) Ensuring that the final product meets technical and quality standards, including consistency, synchronization, and error-free playback.

20) Conducting thorough quality checks before delivery.

21) Keeping up to date with the latest editing software, tools, and industry trends.

22) Continuously improving skills through training, workshops, or self-learning.

23) Managing time effectively to meet project deadlines.

24) Coordinating with other team members to ensure timely completion of all editing tasks.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • Video Editing: 2 years (Preferred)

Language:

  • Mandarin (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
