About the role
We are seeking a Human Resources Executive to join our management team at our Johor Bahru location. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting and developing our workforce. As Human Resources Executive, you will be instrumental in shaping our HR initiatives, ensuring our team members are engaged, supported and equipped to deliver outstanding service. You will report to senior management and be responsible for managing key HR functions that directly impact our restaurant's success and staff satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
Recruit, select and onboard new team members, ensuring we attract talent that aligns with our restaurant culture and values
Manage employee records, documentation and HR information systems, ensuring compliance with local employment regulations
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that promote a positive workplace environment
Support staff training and development programmes to enhance skills and career progression opportunities
Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and performance management
Assist with payroll administration and benefits management, working closely with external service providers as needed
Maintain accurate HR data and prepare reports on workforce metrics and analytics
Ensure compliance with Malaysian employment laws and local labour regulations
Support the organisation in creating a safe, inclusive and healthy workplace for all employees
What we're looking for
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
2-4 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably within the hospitality or food and beverage industry
Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment law and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels
Proficiency in using HR management systems and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational and administrative capabilities
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive HR matters
Familiarity with restaurant or hospitality operations is highly advantageous
