About Us

Unique Palate Sdn Bhd and Vittoria316 Sdn Bhd are part of a growing restaurant group operating modern Indian and Italian restaurant concepts in Malaysia. The Group currently operates 5 outlets and is actively expanding its footprint.

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting operations of the Group, ensure accurate financial records, maintain statutory compliance, and support the business's continued growth and expansion.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Team, Human Resources Department, Operations Team, and Management to ensure strong accounting practices and reporting across all entities and outlets.

Accounting Operations

  • Manage the full set of accounts for multiple companies and restaurant outlets.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account closing activities.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records, journals, accruals, and general ledger transactions.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and key balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Manage supplier invoice processing and payment reconciliations.
  • Review and reconcile supplier statements and outstanding balances.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of outstanding amounts where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate aging reports and supporting documentation.

Restaurant & Multi-Outlet Accounting

  • Reconcile daily sales from POS systems, credit card terminals, e-wallets, online delivery platforms, and other payment channels.
  • Monitor inventory accounting, stock adjustments, wastage records, and cost of goods sold.
  • Review outlet-level financial transactions and expense allocations.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
  • Ensure accounting consistency and compliance across all outlets.

Compliance & Statutory Matters

  • Prepare and submit SST returns and other statutory filings.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and relevant authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents, and reconciliations for annual audits.

Coordination with Finance & HR Teams

  • Work closely with the Finance Team to provide accurate accounting data and supporting schedules for budgeting, cash flow management, financial analysis, and management reporting.
  • Support the Finance Team in maintaining accurate financial information for business planning and decision-making.
  • Coordinate with the Human Resources Department to ensure payroll-related accounting entries, statutory contributions, employee benefits, and related expenses are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives to improve reporting accuracy, financial controls, and operational efficiency.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Manage accounting functions using Xero and AutoCount or QuickBooks.
  • Develop and improve accounting procedures, workflows, and internal controls.
  • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.

Business Expansion Support

  • Support accounting setup and controls for new outlet openings.
  • Assist in standardizing accounting processes across existing and future outlets.
  • Ensure new outlets are integrated effectively into the Group's accounting systems and reporting structure.
  • Contribute to building scalable accounting practices to support the Group's growth.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MICPA, or equivalent are an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
  • Proven experience handling full set accounts independently.
  • Experience in F&B, hospitality, retail chain, or multi-outlet businesses is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing accounts across multiple entities and locations.
  • Experience dealing with auditors, tax agents, and statutory compliance matters.

Technical Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Xero and AutoCount.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
  • Strong understanding of SST requirements and Malaysian accounting regulations.
  • Experience with inventory accounting, stock controls, and cost management.
  • Familiarity with restaurant POS systems and sales reconciliation processes is an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has experience in a multi-outlet restaurant, hospitality, or retail environment and is comfortable managing accounting operations across multiple entities. The candidate should be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of building strong accounting processes while working closely with Finance, HR, Operations, and Management teams to support the Group's continued growth.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
