Role Overview

We’re looking for a Microwave Network Planner to strengthen the backbone of telecom networks. This role focuses on microwave transmission systems (SDH/PDH), ensuring towers and network elements remain connected, stable, and optimized. It’s a hands-on opportunity to work on real-world telecom operations while gaining exposure to multi-domain projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Link design & budgeting: Calculate path loss, fade margin, and antenna height to ensure reliable signal transmission with 99.999% uptime.
• Network planning: Design network rings and node integration, determining capacity for cell towers, hubs, and enterprise clients.
• Site surveys: Assess physical environments, verify Line of Sight (LOS), and propose optimal equipment placement.
• Capacity & frequency planning: Allocate frequencies, manage spectrums, and plan for future growth while preventing interference.
• Documentation: Prepare High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for procurement and installation teams.

Requirements

• Proficiency in RF and transmission design tools (Pathloss, iQ-LINK, MapInfo, iRiver).
• Strong knowledge of telecom hardware.
• Solid understanding of Intermediate Frequency (IF), Radio Frequency (RF), microwave propagation, and Ethernet/IP protocols.
• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Prior experience in wireless/microwave operations and maintenance preferred.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
