As our Operations Manager, you will be working closely with the founders and be part of the execution engine for our Malaysian operations. You'll translate strategic plans into actionable workflows, manage day-to-day field operations, and ensure the delivery of high-quality real-world data that powers our AI systems. You thrive on execution excellence—taking plans and making them happen with precision, compliance, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Planning & Coordination

• Develop detailed project plans for data collection initiatives across Malaysia.
• Planning & coordinate schedules, manpower, and logistics for field operations.
• Create and improvise SOPs for data collection, privacy compliance, and quality assurance.
• Manage relationships with local partners, contractors, and site contacts.
• Prepare regular operational reports and performance dashboards for Singapore HQ.

Field Execution & Quality Control

• Lead on-the-ground data collection operations using Ropedia's devices.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian regulations (PDPA) and ethical guidelines.
• Implement quality assurance protocols for all collected data.
• Manage participant recruitment, consent processes, and stakeholder communications.
• Troubleshoot operational issues in real-time during field activities.

Process Improvement & Support

• Identify operational bottlenecks and propose practical solutions.
• Support the implementation of new tools, systems, and processes.
• Train and supervise field staff and contractors as we grow.
• Assist with administrative setup and office management in KL.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on operations experience, preferably in field operations, logistics, field project management.
• Proven track record of executing complex operational plans in Malaysia.
• Experience in workforce planning, production scheduling and site sourcing.
• Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Professional fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin speaking will be an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel within Malaysia for field operations, with valid local driving license.
