Roles and Responsibilities
1. Design (10%)
- Accountable for solution portfolio design ensuring scalable and high-performance architecture.
- Translate business and functional requirements into system solutions.
- Lead design, development, and implementation of new applications and enhancements to existing systems.
- Serve as technical lead for medium to major projects driving business growth.
2. Development (80%)
- Develop software applications following best practices and coding standards.
- Perform unit testing and system integration testing prior to UAT.
- Support and resolve UAT issues.
- Provide 2nd level production support through collaboration with 1st level support teams.
3. IT Application Management (10%)
- Execute implementation strategies aligned with business requirements and long-term IT strategy.
- Support mid- and short-term strategic IT planning in alignment with evolving business needs.
- Ensure proper technical risk assessments are conducted.
- Ensure deployment follows defined change and release management processes.
- Monitor system health and ensure high availability of applications.
- Manage delivery of initiatives within defined scope, timeline, and budget.
- Ensure SDLC documentation is completed for all projects.
- Ensure timely resolution of 2nd level incidents within SLA requirements.
Project Scope
- Handle medium to high complexity application development projects with end-to-end ownership.
- Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, vendors, and infrastructure teams.
- Projects include:
- New application development
- Portal revamp and enhancement initiatives
- User experience improvements for internal and external users
Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in application development and system solutioning.
- Strong experience in IT project execution and system implementation delivery.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage management and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Understanding of insurance domain and distribution channels is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as a strong team player.
- Highly self-motivated and delivery-focused.
Technical Skills Required
- Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) architecture and development
- Java Content Repository (JCR), Sling, Apache Felix OSGi
- AEM components: templates, workflows, DAM, bundles
- Integration with Adobe Analytics, Target, Campaign
- Data migration in AEM
- Front-end: HTML, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
- Backend: Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate
- REST APIs and web services
- Databases: SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle (T-SQL)
- Unix/Linux environments
- WebSphere Application Server
