Key Responsibilities

Purchasing & Procurement

• Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders accurately and on time.
• Monitor order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with production, planning, warehouse, and engineering teams on material requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.
• Resolve issues related to delivery delays, shortages, and quality concerns.

Sourcing & Supplier Management

• Source and evaluate new suppliers for direct and indirect materials.
• Obtain and compare quotations to achieve competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Support supplier negotiations on pricing, lead times, payment terms, and service levels.
• Conduct supplier performance monitoring and maintain supplier evaluation records.
• Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers.

Inventory & Cost Control

• Monitor inventory levels and support material planning activities.
• Ensure purchased materials meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternative sourcing and supplier consolidation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare purchasing reports and maintain procurement documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
• Support internal and external audits when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or buyer-related roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations is preferred.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is an advantage.
• Good negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
