Chef Consultant (3-Month Contract – Menu Revamp & Turnaround)
Job Summary
We are an established, high-volume Western & Malaysian breakfast/brunch restaurant looking for a brilliant Chef Consultant for a 3-month fixed-term contract.
This is an optimization project. We want to inject fresh, modern trends into our current Western brunch items and elevate our local Malaysian breakfast staples . Your core mission will be to analyze our existing kitchen operations, refresh the menu to boost sales, lower our food costs, and retrain our current kitchen crew for faster ticket times.
Salary & Terms
Remuneration: RM 10,000 – RM 15,000 / month (Based on experience and portfolio).
Contract Duration: 3 Months (Project-based).
Location: Kuala Lumpur
Job Requirements
Experience: 5+ years as an Executive Chef, Creative Head Chef, or F&B Consultant. Proven experience specifically revamping or managing busy, modern lifestyle cafés or hotel breakfast operations in Malaysia.
Culinary Mastery: High proficiency in both Western brunch trends (gourmet egg cookery, artisanal sandwiches, modern sauces) and Malaysian breakfast flavor profiles (rich house sambals, rempah, localized breakfast staples).
The "Fixer" Mindset: Excellent analytical skills to spot why a kitchen is slow or wasting money, with the ability to implement immediate solutions.
Strong Communicator: Ability to lead and command respect from our existing kitchen crew, training them firmly but supportively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Compliance: Complete understanding of food hygiene regulations
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
