Job Description
Responsibilities
1. Vehicle Operation:
- Operate a Class 4 lorry safely and efficiently for the transportation of goods.
- Adhere to all traffic regulations and company policies while driving.
2. Loading and Unloading:
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Inspect and secure loads to guarantee safe transportation.
3. Route Planning:
- Plan and optimize driving routes for timely deliveries.
- Utilize GPS and maps to navigate effectively.
4. Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any issues.
- Ensure the lorry is clean and maintained, keeping up with scheduled servicing and repairs.
5. Documentation:
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and paperwork, including delivery notes and inspection reports.
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations and safety standards.
6. Customer Interaction:
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, answering any questions or concerns.
- Liaise with dispatch and warehouse staff for smooth operations.
7. Safety Compliance:
- Follow safety protocols to minimize accidents and injuries.
- Participate in safety training and adhere to environmental regulations.
8. Team Collaboration:
Work with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate transport schedules and loading processes.
- Assist colleagues as needed to promote a positive work environment.
Requirements: 1. Valid Driving License:
- Possess a valid Class 4 driving license with a clean driving record & Fokrlift License
