Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America, are looking for Software Engineers.

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance, and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising, and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.

You will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain BI reporting solutions using QlikSense/QlikView

• Work with large datasets to design data models and reporting layers

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries on Oracle databases

• Design dashboards with advanced visualizations, charts, and aggregations

• Perform performance tuning of Qlik applications for faster load and response time

• Develop and enhance scripts, extensions, widgets, and custom components

• Embed Qlik dashboards into web applications

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions

• Ensure high-quality delivery under tight timelines

Mandatory Skills Description:

• 3-5 years of experience in BI development

• Strong expertise in QlikSense

• Strong experience with SQL and Oracle database

• Experience in:

- Data modelling

- Advanced scripting in Qlik

- Aggregations, charts, and dashboard development

• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS

• Proven experience in building reporting solutions on large datasets

• Experience in financial services domain

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• Experience in Qlik Sense Governance Model design

• Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and development

• Understanding of Qlik in-memory data architecture

• Exposure to performance optimization best practices in BI tools
