Business Development Executive - Sales & Marketing Role


Job Scope Overview


Primary Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets (FMCG, Consumer Pharma, Manufacturing, Logistics, 3PL/4PL, E-commerce)
  • Generate qualified leads and build a robust sales pipeline
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations of Simplr's Distribution Management and Warehouse Management solutions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with decision-makers (C-level, Directors, VPs, Supply Chain Heads)
  • Achieve sales targets and revenue goals


Marketing & Market Intelligence:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the supply chain technology sector
  • Collaborate with marketing team on campaigns, events, and promotional activities
  • Gather competitive intelligence and customer feedback
  • Represent Simplr at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions


Account Management:

  • Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting to closing
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and commercial presentations
  • Coordinate with technical teams for solution demonstrations and proof of concepts
  • Ensure smooth handover to implementation teams post-sale


Key Requirements

Experience & Skills:

  • 3-5 years in B2B sales, preferably in SaaS/technology solutions
  • Understanding of supply chain, distribution, or warehouse management processes
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to engage with senior-level executives


Target Customer Profile:

  • Companies with US$50 Million+ revenue and above
  • 100+ employees and above
  • Distribution & Manufacturing - intensive industries


Success Metrics

  • Number of qualified leads generated
  • Sales pipeline value and conversion rates
  • Revenue targets achievement
  • Customer satisfaction and retention
