IP Group Hiring! Full Time Production Technician in Pulau Pinang, Earn up to MYR 4,300 - Ricebowl

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of semiconductor testing instruments and equipment according to work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Operate production equipment and tools safely while meeting daily production targets.
• Conduct functional testing, calibration, and verification of completed assemblies before final release.
• Interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve basic production and equipment issues, escalating complex problems to supervisors or engineers.
• Perform soldering, cable routing, wiring, and component installation with high precision.
• Ensure all products comply with quality standards and customer specifications.
• Record production data, inspection results, and non-conformance reports accurately.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and comply with 5S, EHS, and company safety regulations.
• Assist in new product introduction (NPI), prototype builds, and engineering validation activities when required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of production schedules.

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with 1–3 years of manufacturing or semiconductor experience will have an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of electronic components, mechanical assemblies, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
• Experience using measuring instruments such as multimeters, calipers, torque tools, or other inspection equipment is an advantage.
• Hands-on experience in soldering and cable assembly is preferred.
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willing to work overtime or shifts when production demands require.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,300.00 per month
