Location: Bandar Puteri Puchong, Selangor, Malaysia

VME Technical Services Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in oil & gas processing systems and FPSO projects to lead the execution of complex engineering and fabrication projects from contract award through final delivery.

This role is best suited for candidates who possess extensive experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects involving process equipment, fabrication, procurement, construction, commissioning, and client management within the oil & gas industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with contractual and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of oil & gas processing system projects from contract award through project close-out.
• Manage project scope, engineering deliverables, execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate engineering, drafting, procurement, fabrication, logistics, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Build and lead multidisciplinary project teams while ensuring clear communication of project objectives, schedules, technical requirements, and budgets.
• Monitor project performance, productivity, risks, and progress across all disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage variations, claims, change orders, and conflict resolution.
• Oversee project invoicing, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial close-out activities.
• Provide regular project status updates to senior management and clients.
• Drive adherence to company procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, and project controls.

Essential Requirements:

a. Mandatory Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Minimum 10 years of Project Management experience within the oil & gas industry.
• Proven experience managing oil & gas processing system projects.
• Hands-on experience with FPSO-related projects and equipment fabrication.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering multidisciplinary engineering projects involving procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning.

b. Technical Knowledge

• Strong understanding of:
• Heat and mass balance calculations
• Process equipment design principles
• Equipment layouts
• P&ID interpretation
• Engineering datasheet development
• Familiarity with the construction and fabrication of oil & gas processing equipment, particularly for offshore applications and FPSOs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for project reporting, documentation, and data management.

c. Leadership & Communication

• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project execution fundamentals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

We are specifically interested in professionals who have experience managing:

• FPSO topside process equipment projects
• Process skids and modular process packages
• Oil & gas production and processing facilities
• EPC/EPCM project execution environments
• Fabrication and construction-driven engineering projects

Only candidates with substantial oil & gas processing systems and FPSO project experience will be considered.
