Job Summary
Support and enhance daily ground operations by managing subcontractors and crews, coordinating incident responses, assisting in route planning and reporting, and ensuring vehicle inspections to maintain high safety and service standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage subcontractors and crews to ensure timely and efficient delivery of transportation services
- Respond promptly and effectively to subcontractor enquiries to maintain smooth operations
- Coordinate and manage incident responses to minimize disruption and ensure safety
- Update the CMS system accurately to reflect operational changes and incidents
- Oversee day-to-day ground operations to maintain service quality and compliance
- Assist in planning transportation routes to optimize efficiency and coverage
- Support preparation of operational reports to inform management decisions
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating subcontractors to maintain a reliable vendor network
- Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with management by undertaking additional tasks as assigned to support business objectives
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 years of operational experience, preferably in subcontractor or driver management
- Experience in the private bus industry is preferred
- Familiarity with working in a school environment
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Proactive initiative and a strong sense of ownership in task execution
- Proven problem-solving and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to prioritize and multitask between operations and customer service responsibilities
- Availability to start work as early as 0600hrs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a 5-day work week
- Capability to commute between school and office at Ubi during working hours as needed
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders
